The Case for Solar
Let’s talk SOLAR!
During COVID, Kory and I started daily walks around the neighborhood. We noticed solar signs popping up in lawns. After the Texas ice storm, we noticed our electrical bill soaring. We are a fairly environmentally conscious family, but admittedly, we use a lot of electricity. There are five computers in Kory’s office alone! So, Kory started to do research. He called around, contacted local companies, and got bids. All Energy Solar was by far the most responsive and impressive.
This week All Solar Energy came out and installed panels on three different roof slopes. After an inspection from the city and from Dakota Electric, we are up and running. We even have an app on our phone that tells us how many kilowatts we are generating. AND with all of the gray, rainy days… we are still generating over here!
You may be wondering… how much did this set up cost you? Here’s the deal. The panels are financed for 15 years. The annualized monthly payment is projected to be LESS than our current electricity bill. Here is the best part… All Solar Energy sets up a contract with Dakota Electric to sell any excess energy- easy income directly in our bank account. Plus, real estate agents tell us this is a huge value add for the home.
My intention for sharing this information is altruistic belief that we need to become less dependent on fossil fuels if we are going to leave an Earth for our grandchildren. This is an easy way for most homeowners to have a significant impact. Also, with full disclosure, All Solar relies on word of mouth for the majority of its business. They have a VERY generous cash referral program. If you use the link here, or mention our name, the Kennelly Family will get credit. And, my commitment to paying it forward, is that we will make a donation to Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), a non-profit promoting clean energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable living. Everyone wins!
Let us know if you have any questions and this Earth Day, consider solar. SHINE ON!
